So, How Was Your Day?

Breakfast:
Homemade dark chocolate and raspberry muffin and ice cream.
Lunch:
Mushrooms stuffed with pesto. Coffee.
Dinner:
Spaghetti and meatballs.

Morning ➛
Wake up and get ready. Get a train to London. Nearly punch a baby for screaming the whole ruddy time. Arrive with half an hour to get to the other side of London (delays, ick).
Noon ➛
Get to Holborn. Look for MUA and hair stylist, eventually get a call and realise they’re standing just beside me. Discuss the three looks we’re going for today (working with different models for tests), decide on a braid theme. Model (Tami) arrives and we go on the hunt for the cute cake shop I found online. Twenty minutes later, we’re lost. Tami whips out her phone and finds the place within five minutes. You’re meant to book a table for more than two, so we leave and set up in Cafe Nero, two doors down. Hair & makeup done. Tami & I quickly scout for a location. It starts to rain. As it’s only a test shoot, I take a few photos in a few random places. Meet second girl (Elle) at London Bridge and set up shop in a different Cafe Nero. Hair and makeup commence. Elle & I have a bit of a wander, end up in a busy market, and take a few photos. Last but not least, I meet Laura back at London Bridge and we go back to Cafe Nero for hair and makeup (the cutest man asks if he can go next, um YES). Buy another coffee (out of obligation, not addiction, obviously).
Night ➛
Have a quick scout around for a location and end up in a stunning park-cum-university. Laura jumps in a flower bed, people stare and laugh. WORTH IT. Walking back to the station, we spot a cute indie coffee shop. I buy Laura her first macaron and we discuss life. It’s crazy how quickly you realise how much you have in common with a technical stranger. We talk our way through a few more macarons. Back on the train home, listen in on a family talking about the impending Olympics. Arrive home, collapse, and fall asleep.

Three Last Things…
1. What is up with the lavish room?
I wish I could tell you it’s mine and that I’m a whiz with design but that would be lying. The photo’s taken in my favourite hotel ever (in London) called The Soho Sanctum.
2. Your work is pretty layered and thoughtful for someone that is only 19. Where do you find your inspiration? And please tell us something besides the internet…
Well thank you! I have a heart condition — it has made me realise how awesome life is. People, woodland & water inspire me especially.
3. Your country has been cranking out some pretty addictive shows (Mistresses, Luther, Downton Abbey) - any others we should be watching?
Can I tell you a secret? I don’t watch any of the above. Mad Dogs is more up my street. I also LOVE Sons of Anarchy & Nurse Jackie, so thank you America.

Jazzy lives in Chelmsford (she describes as “Essex, the land of white stilettos”) outside of London. Her work is dark yet ethereal and way beyond her years. hivenn.com
