Morning ➛
Wake up at 10:00am. Answer emails and eat breakfast. Shower. Put an outfit together that will work for both a festival and fancy dinner.
Noon ➛
Drive downtown. Waited in line to see Wild Belle at the Pure Volume House. The line was around the block because Alexa Chung was inside. Took pics while waiting in line. Never ended up going in. BOOOO. Took a phone-charging break at the Convention Center. Pounded the pavement to take street style photos at the SXSW epicenter, 6th and Red River. Quick lunch at Fatboys taco truck. Went to the Fader Fort to pick up my wrist bands and to see Brooklyn band, Friends.
Night ➛
Bump into Chicago friend, Ernest, on the corner of 8th and Red River while I’m waiting for my editor to pick me up. Take portraits of Neiman Marcus’ Mens Fashion Director, Matthew Singer. Dinner at Barley Swine with Neiman Marcus team and gals from Kate Spade and Refinery 29. Drinks with the Barley Swine chefs at The Horseshoe Lounge. Find out that Anthony Bourdain was at that bar earlier in the day filming(!) And, most importantly, that southern men are total gentleman. Called it a night. Long week ahead…

Three Last Things…
1. What’s up with double-fisting a phone and a ginormous coffee? Is this normal?
If you ever see me IRL, I’ll definitely have both of these items in my hand. I need to be connected to the internet at all times and coffee is my life-blood.
2. We heard you are quite the wild child when it comes to your vocabulary and slang…what new phrases should we be using?
Shooo, No clue, Love Making (use this instead of “sex”, I promise it will scare everyone), Platone Zone (when a guy likes you and you’re not feelin’ it), Jazz = Sex (“Did you guys jazz?”), Teen = Hot young boy (usually, aged 21-24).
3. You went from a sweaty day at a festival to a chichi dinner without going back to your hotel to freshen up…tips, please.
Since I never drink water and pretty much only drink coffee, I never really sweat. Or maybe that’s just my excuse. I still loaded up on the deodorant because I’m a lady. Packed a lipstick and hoped there would be 5 minutes and a clean bathroom for me to primp in. Besides that, I gave myself a top knot. With my outfit, I stuck to black (#foreverchic) and layered a shear, sleeveless blouse over a polka dot romper. Paired it with a very comfortable 2-inch heeled mini boot and a fringed leather satchel. It worked out. I let my hair down, put my NARS Manhunt on for a pop, and was set to mingle.
