So, How Was Your Day?

Breakfast:
Fresh Panna Cotta. Latte
Lunch:
Catered (Dean & Deluca sandwiches, I think)
Dinner:
Caprese. Latte. White Wine.

Morning ➛
Coffee (grind beans in garage to not wake Charlie). Update blog. Return a bazillion emails. Get ready, try in vain to find to matching socks. Get Charlie-girl ready. Drop her off at dayschool. Stop off at coffee shop on way in. David drops me at the train, he heads to work. Arrive at O’Hare - United flight to NYC. Work on new ideas for FLOR on the plane.
Noon ➛
Land. Grab a cab to office (636 11th Avenue). Emails, vmails, text in car. Get sick. Meeting at work. Present rough cut of new beauty commercial. Grab cab to meet my publisher. Grab a bite. Quick catch up everything - press, reviews. sales, next project.
Night ➛
Back in a cab to LGA. Confirm next day’s meetings in car (barely make my flight as usual). On flight: work on new chapter outline for next project, write guest blog post for fathomaway.com, collect images for feature for Wandawega (for Travel & Leisure review). Land in Chicago. Kiss Charlie. 10 min of news. Catch up on the day. Out.

Three Last Things…
1. What’s up with the design behind your bed?
A gift from Oprah, picked by Nate Berkus. Fave detail: It has a hidden button that raises the backrest to reveal hidden storage. And the headboard lights up (crazy, I know).
2. You have created one of the coolest places in the world for people to rest their head at Wandawega … what’s your favorite place to rest your head?
That’s hard to narrow (there are so many). But I love Honor & Folly in Detroit.
3. What did you read on the plane?
World of Interiors. New book by David Sedaris: Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk
